My newest and almost oldest rifle.

Post by Fj3fury »

<r>Bought an IMA Martini Henry in untouched shape. This has been my first milsurp purchase in a few years, and my second firearm of the year.... I know I'm behind the eightball on expanding my collection, but other stuff has got the majority of my attention and money. I ended up doing a to repair and fixing some wood rot where the fore end plate screws to the wood. Metal had some pitting, but was pleased to find 1887 on the receiver. I'm waiting on 24 gauge shotshell brass to get back in stock with midway or grafs to start reloading for it, so no range report yet.

I admit I got a bit over zealous on trimming back the damaged area on the toe.

Nice, but is it over zealous or more a case of making sure you got rid of all the cancer?
