Thought the Site went Away!!

Post by Belleau Wood »

The old site had info on stripping bolts and detail strips. Is that still here. Might be, I just hasnd found it yet.
Im a military relic guy who shoots cast bullets almost exclusively.

Welcome back,

I am not sure what you want , but the old original site info you may want might be here. Do you want Mr. Jamie Magum's, SURPLURIFLE.com, on the first original forum back in 2003/2004. See my link: http://www.surplusrifleforum.org/viewto ... =79&t=2203

That above link provides some history and other Tid bits info about the present SRF.
Mr. Jamie Magum's, SURPLURIFLE.com write ups and disassembly of the bolts. Here might be a PDF link to what you may want:

Also realize currently there are many u tube videos more updated that show a video of bolt take down & assembly for Milsurp rifles; just do a search on goggle like "k98 bolt take down", or "K98 bolt assembly". Also Forgotten weapons videos are some great references:
see https://www.youtube.com/user/forgottenweapons/videos

Also the Milsurp reference Library remains somewhat intact:
https://www.milsurps.com/content.php

Non members can only view for a certain number of times, you may have to enter through the forum see https://www.milsurps.com/index.php

Welcome Back!

There is a pretty cool postal match going right now if you like shooting. I mostly shoot my home cast bullets. What are your favorite molds?

I like the Lyman 314299 and the Lee Maximum 8mm mold.

Glad to see the site is still here. Seven or eight years ago, I would check in here and Gunboards regularly. Then, my interest drifted to motorcycles, hiking and camping. Well, I just re-registered and recognized a few familiar names. It's great to see the forum again.
