I've had this since 1971. The original finish had gotten worn away, so I finished it with pine tar and BLO, Finnish style.

I'm a sucker for the pine tar finish. It just looks more natural than the pretty,shiny verathane coatings.

Given my Glenfield in 63 , finish is about shot , this is a great finish to apply , looks fantastic.
