Italian Vetterli-Vitali M1870/87 range report

Post by DaleH »

Threw 2 out @ 50-yards offhand, at my milsurp SAT morning shoot, but it was only 26-degrees out. Finally settled myself down and put the next 8 into the black. Had to hold right & the group needs to come up some.

But not too bad for a 150-year old rifle though ...

Thanks! Still throwing the 1st shot out into the 8-ring, but otherwise shot a 95-3X with it today 😎 , lots of fun! I had to bend the rear sight arm up 0.025” to get it centered on the X, as the next step on the elevator adjustment was waaaaaay too much.
