Arctic K98k Czech with Winter Trigger guard
Re: Arctic K98k Czech with Winter Trigger guard
Here’s my Czech Mod 98. She doesn’t have the bayonet lug but it's cut and drilled for one.

Both my Czech 98K's, the mag well is to large in the front toward the recoil lug , theres a space in-between the front mag well and the stock , you can install 3 quarters stacked inside the gap , and now both stocks are cracking at the wrist , trigger guard and the recoil lug is moveing back , also cracking , does anybody else's weapons have this probelm , a commercial assembly fits and fills the opening fine. Just wondering if this just a machining mistake. I dont know if the 30-06 mag well is longer , maybe thats why ,

Nothing, all is fine, most SRF photos were lost on the 4 June 2020 new server switch. The original author never reposted his lost photos.

To old to fight and to old to run, a Jar head will just shoot and be done with you.

Timbo Here is a picture of the fit as the mag/trigger assy. enters the wood. The mag well is somewhat snug, but the assy. still just slips into a K98 stock. 1/8 inch gap seems excessive. We would need a fit photo. Are your screws tight? The metal recoil block should be tight. Look how your action fits into the stock.

Thinking about winter trigger guards.
I, nave this one in my collection.
The rifle is German and is marked Mod. 98.
The guard looks an add on.It is stamped and no proof markings.
